Carsyn's Newborn Session

Here are a few pictures from Carsyn's newborn session when she was just 12 days old.  Noelle Kai Photography took some wonderful pictures of our little girl and big brother Ryland.  She was a bit fussy the first hour, but then tired herself out for the second half of the photo shoot.  I love the sweetness of these photos.

Babymoon

A couple weekends ago (the weekend before my birthday) we went to San Antonio for a babymoon.  While we were there I kept thinking of all the places we could take Ry to (zoo, sea world, children's museum, etc), but this was our time to relax and unwind.  We mostly stuck to the river walk and places within driving distance as it was hard on me and my poor feet to walk long distances.  We hit up several eateries and bars on the river walk, checked out Pearl and the farmer's market and enjoyed dinner at Aldo's, the restaurant where my hubby proposed.  We even managed to catch the MSU game (Go Green!) and visited the mall on the river walk (Hello AC!  It was a bit warm on Fri & Sat).  All in all a nice relaxing weekend.

Race shirt keepsake quilt has arrived!

I received my race shirt quilt a week ago and I LUV it!  I think it turned out nicely.  I went two sizes larger (20 squares, 60"x75" couch quilt size) and it almost covers the top of our queen bed.  Can't wait to snuggle under it this winter!  :)

UT Game!

This past weekend my hubby scored some free tickets and a parking pass to the UT game (courtesy of his brother).  Thank goodness a storm came through Friday and dropped the temperature or else I'm not sure I would have gone.  On Saturday it only hit a high of 85 degrees, perfect!  It was a busy day as we took Ry to Safari Champs that morning, then went out to Dripping Springs to watch Evan in the drumline competitions (they took 6th place!) and then rushed back to campus to fit in an hour of tailgating before heading into the game.  We had some awesome seats in the shade and the weather was perfect.  UT played a great game against K-State, we stayed into the 3rd quarter before we decided to head home (that was a lot of standing for me at 34 weeks pregnant).  All in all an awesome Saturday and great time at the game!

Tailgating is back!

Tailgating is back and boy has it been HOT!  So far we've attended two tailgates, the first one was 106 degrees, the second one was 96 degrees.  Definitely not very comfortable for me as I'm preggers and all. :P There is one more tailgate this month that I'll be able to attend.  However I'm currently watching the weather and seriously debating not going if it's in the 90's again.  Other than that we've had a good time as usual.  Ry had a blast and even played (or tried to play) football with a couple older boys.  ;)  Surprisingly there are no home games in Oct, there are 3 home games in Nov (one on Thanksgiving day) but I'm definitely out on those as baby girl will be less than a month old!
