#15 - Cook home meal [i.e. eat out less] (21/143)

Last Tuesday I made Sunday Football Chili.  I had to brown the beef the night before, but then the day of it just goes into a crock-pot and slow cooks all day.   My house smelled so yummy when I arrived home after winning the Dell VB league.  It was great coming home to a dinner that was ready and waiting for me.  I had also bought some fresh baked bread to enjoy with the meal.

** Note ** This recipe makes a lot of chili...a week later I'm still eating it!

#109 - Buy a new vacuum

I'm so excited about my new vacuum!  For the past 2 years I've been using others hand me down vacuums since mine bit the dust.  My latest hand me down vacuum was from my parents, it didn't even have any attachments and I couldn't even find the vacuum bags in stores!  On Saturday Malek called to let me know that Linen's N Things had several vacuums on sale, they are going out of business and everything was marked down 30-60%!  I was able to get a great deal on a Savvy Hoover upright bagless vacuum and use some of my gift cards from my housewarming party to pay for it.    It even came with a pet hair cleaning tool!  Perfect!

Next up....a grill!

#71 - Wear more dresses / skirts (13/?)

Yay for me!  I wore a skirt on Friday and Monday...with the weather staying around the 100's in TX, its more comfortable to wear skirts than pants.  I'm also on the hunt for more dresses...mainly to wear for nights out on the town rather than for work. ;-)

#71 - Wear more dresses / skirts (11/?)

This past week/end I went home to MI to visit family, HS friends and Karen!  While there I bought a new dress, which I wore out Friday night in Ann Arbor and partied the night away with Karen.  Lets just say Saturday was a bit rough for us.  :-)

#40 - Read more than just fiction novels/books (IP)

Well it only took me FOREVER but I finally finished "Leading from the Front".  It seems I only read on flights and since I went to MI last week I read on the plane.  I really enjoyed this book and it had some great examples from the authors experiences in the military.  Now it's on to "Eat, Pray, Love" recommended to me by Monica.  )  Who knows how long it will take me for this one...
