Annual White Elephant Event

Per usual it was a wonderful white elephant party at the Cox's.  There was plenty to drink, eat (LOVE LOVE LOVE the candied bacon) and tons of fun with friends.  We were all pretty tipsy by the end, which resulted in a very liberating midnight run down the golf course minus a few articles of clothing....

Have a safe and happy holiday!  :)

HO HO HO!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
Our yearly HOA holiday party included free food and pictures with Santa. Ry refused to sit on Santa's lap so we all joined in (yeah yeah it was a mandatory family pic).  ;)

Gobble Gobble

It was a relatively low key Thanksgiving this year.  We volunteered our home for the potluck style Malek/Freund/Barney clan get together.  Happy Thanksgiving to all, hope you had a fabulous feasting day!  So very thankful for my life, family and friends.

The Wurst Time!

Wurstfest is upon us!  Instead of packing up all the Halloween decor we decided to spend the day in New Braunfels for our favorite salute to sausage festival.  After a few detours (gas and ATM stop) we arrived around noon.  Ry had a ball!  There was so much to see an do he totally skipped his nap!  We hit up our favorite potato pancake booth first as that usually has the longest lines.  The first thing we noticed though was that it really wasn't that crowded.  We are so used to going on Saturdays and it being packed.  However Sunday's are awesome!  It's nowhere near as crowded until later on in the afternoon, so we had no problems finding parking and most of the booths were line free!  Woohoo!  Ry loved the biergarten, he found many steps and would entertain himself by climbing up and down them for as long as we were willing to stay there and watch.  Wurstfest also has carnival rides, so we took Ry on his first carousel!  Needless to say he was thrilled.  Soon afterwards my husbands brother's family joined us and all the cousins had a blast dancing in Wursthalla.

Touch A Truck

This weekend at Old Settlers Park was the Touch A Truck event sponsored by the Round Rock Parks and Rec Department.  This made for a perfect outing as Ry's all about trucks right now.  He loves watching the CAT and other construction vehicles in our neighborhood and will yell at us if we move him before he's had his fill.  The Touch A Truck event allows children the opportunity to explore vehicles of all types - public service, emergency, utility, construction, transportation, etc.  We arrived around 11am and worked our way to most of the vehicles.  Ry's favorite thing was to play with the giant wheels and lug-nuts and watch the excavator in action.  Those big trucks really wore the little guy out, he crashed once we got in the car.
