We love running the Duetschen Pfest Pfun Run, it's always a good time for the family. This time I registered both littles to run the Kids K. Last year would have been Ry's 1st time running, but the entire weekend was rained out.

The family 5/22/2016 |
At race time it was 73 degrees, cloudy, 91% humidity and 4 mph winds at 8am. The first mile I felt pretty gross with the humidity, I finally got into a groove by mile 2. I managed to maintain an avg pace of 8:28!! I crossed the finish line at 26:40.7 and took 2nd place for my age group. The hubby came in at 36:48. Pretty good considering he did a tough mudder race the day before. Emma crossed at 37:34. Ryland did awesome, running by himself at the front of the pack. Emma and I ran with Carsy. I think she was just happy to be out there with everyone, I had to run with her on my back for half the race.
All in all a good race day, complete with free beer and pizza at the finish!
