You animal!

Meet the newest addition to our household, the Dyson DC25 Animal!  I found a steal of a deal on Craigslist for this baby (brand spanking new to boot!) and Malek brought it home today.  I'm actually excited to vacuum now.  :)

I just realized I never posted anything about last years V-day, wedding preparations had consumed me at the time.  Malek and the kids had surprised me at work with flowers, they actually beat me to work that morning and were waiting for me.  ;)

Nesting in color

This weekend we painted two more rooms in the house: the study and the master bedroom.  I wanted to get them 'out of the way' before the baby arrives.  We painted the study 'Nile Sand', which is the same color in the living room and hallways.  For our bedroom we went with 'Peanut Butter'.  The color compliments our bedding and looks great with the mocha curtains.  Our plan is to eventually purchase new espresso bedroom furniture, which will look AWESOME against the paint color.  :D  Of course new bedroom furniture is a good year or two away.

Snowmageddon!

ATX received 2-3 inches of snow last night!  That means the majority of Texans are freaking out and staying home.  The doggies weren't sure what to make of the fluffy white stuff this morning, but soon Josie was out there running around like a crazy dog...while Sarah said "no thank you!" and preferred to stay inside.  The kids are loving it. 

These pictures are all from 8am....because as of noon everything has pretty much melted.
